Kelly Asato – Northeastern US
Kelly Kamaka’alohi Asato is an innovative facilitator and executive coach with over fifteen years’ experience working with Global 500 companies, US government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
Through years of intensive work with senior executives, Kelly observed that life often shapes us in a way that distances us from our truth and our authentic/essential self which impacts not only our leadership but how we walk and engage in the world.
She partners with leaders in rediscovering, remembering, and re-integrating what lies in their hearts, including vulnerabilities, strengths and longings while identifying points of incoherence that limit their potential for inspiration, connection, and influence. The result is greater awareness, choice, agency, resilience and joy through an embodied understanding of their essential self and all its possibilities.
Kelly’s experiential and embodied approach encompasses time-honored wisdom teachings from Eastern contemplative and martial arts practices blended with Western leadership modalities and business application. Her work is grounded in a range of somatic, mindfulness and psychotherapeutic modalities, including systemic intelligence and systems work, Voice Dialogue, Respectful Confrontation methodology, Somatic Abolitionism, and Sufficiency application.
The former Director of Personal Mastery at Mobius Executive Leadership, Kelly now serves as Senior Advisor to Mobius’ Executive Retreat Practice and is a lead facilitator for Winning From Within, a leadership model developed by Harvard Law Lecturer, Erica Ariel Fox. She is a senior consultant at NextGen Leadership and collaborates with other socially conscious leadership organizations and individuals aimed at cultural and systemic change centered around healing and repairing historical and racialized trauma to cultivate mutuality, belonging and sufficiency. In service of this effort, she co-created Three Trees Wisdom, a collective gathering space.
Kelly is a certified Somatic Coach from the Strozzi Institute for Leadership and Mastery and is certified in the Leadership Circle Assessment. She holds a degree in Organizational Communication Management from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, certifications in Respectful Confrontation method, Mastering Sustainable Abundance, Taoist Energy Healing, and Spiritual Counseling. She has served on the advisory board of BRINGIT™ an environmental non-profit.
Kelly is guided by the Hawaiian principle Pono, which encourages one to be in righteous or just relationship with ourselves, with others and with our natural world. She enjoys Hawaiian music, hula (dance) and ‘talking story’ with her ‘ohana (family) in Hawai’i.
